Internationalizing your institution by developing global citizen, and as a consequence building a competitive advantage
We are a network of academics and practitioners specialized in the internationalization of education and international education fields. We are passionate about the theme, with more than 30 years of experience and our aim is to help educational institutions to develop their internationalization processes through a strategic approach, based on method.
What we can do for your educational institution
International Business Plan
The International Business Plan (IBP) summarizes the institution’s internationalization strategy and provides a roadmap for actions and projects. IBP design process enables the efforts concentration on projects and activities that converge with institutional strategy, maximizing the potential for success of the desired results of the internationalization process.
It outlines the goals that the higher education institution intends to accomplish through the internationalization process, the modes and forms of internationalization that are best suited to the institution, the creation of a business model to support the strategy, resources allocation, the involvement of key people, and, finally, the identification of potential partners.
International Partnership Management
Modeling the partnership process, identifying possible partners and qualifying existing partnerships according to the institution’s internationalization goals, establishing performance indicators, defining potential partnerships per region, establishing a ranking of strategic partners and potential partners, among other related demands.
Curriculum Institutional Model Internationalization
The design of internationalized program and course curricula, developed in collaboration with key academics and staff at the institution, serves as the foundation of the institutional model of curriculum internationalization. In this way, the model can be replicated for the entire institutional portfolio. Based on an internationally recognized method, the project enables institutional capacity and leadership building.
Academic Mobility
Modeling the academic mobility process for students, teachers, staff, and researchers. The consultancy process includes gap identification, problem-solving, estimated lead time for activities, and process (re) design. Guidance for the drafting of calls for proposals, communication plan, enrollment procedures, participation selections and related documents is included.
Academic Missions
Planning, organization, and monitoring of academic, technical, and business missions. Definition of goals, scheduling of visits and events.
Virtual Exchange Program
Understanding and applying all the potential that virtualization of internationalization brings to the institutional internationalization process (mobility, COIL, webinars, mirror classes, online portfolio, double degrees, etc.). Designing the virtual internationalization program/project.
Pedagogical and Professional Development
Customized courses, workshops, and lectures to (further) develop academics’ and staffs’ internationalization mindset. We support teachers’ development in pedagogy, researchers’ development for international research projects and publications, technical staffs’ development to support the institutional internationalization strategy, and guidance for students on how to internationalize their careers.
Internationalization Assessment
Diagnosis of the institution internationalization process: identifying strengths, opportunities, and potential bottlenecks. Definition of performance indicators for the internationalization process based on global assessment tools, and their alignment with the institutional strategic plan.
QS Stars: International Accreditation
QS Stars is a rating system for higher education institutions that aims to evaluate HEIs in their major areas of activity and identify which universities are the best in specific topics, such as inclusion, employability of graduates, social responsibility, among others. At IHub, we help institutions identify their strengths and weaknesses and prepare them to achieve this international accreditation. By receiving a QS Stars rating, your HEI stands out in reputation and becomes more credible to advance in international cooperation prospecting.
