Curriculum Internationalization Course:

A course designed by Betty Leask
in partnership with IHub

Ideal for teachers, program coordinators, and education professionals who wish to rethink their pedagogical practice and apply the concept of curriculum internationalization.

What we will do for your educational institution:

The IBP (Internationalization Business Plan) is a summary of the institution’s internationalization strategy and serves as a roadmap for actions and projects. Its development ensures that activities remain focused and helps minimize potential negative impacts during the internationalization process.

It covers everything from establishing the goals the institution aims to achieve through internationalization, to selecting the most suitable modes and forms of internationalization, developing a business model to support the defined strategy, allocating resources, engaging key stakeholders, and, finally, identifying potential partners.

We support the development of an internationalized curriculum for one or more programs/courses/subjects chosen by the institution and/or the creation of an institutional model for curriculum internationalization, which can be replicated across all programs and courses offered by the institution.

We design and model the partnership process, identify potential partners, and qualify existing partnerships according to the institution’s internationalization goals, among other related needs.

We design and model the Academic Mobility process for students, faculty, staff, and researchers, including the design/redesign of mobility processes, identification of bottlenecks, and time estimation. This includes preparing calls for applications, communication plans for mobility programs, participant application and selection processes, and other related stages.

We plan, organize, and accompany academic, technical, and business missions, including defining objectives and arranging visit schedules and events.

We design Virtual Internationalization Programs, covering all the potential that virtual tools can bring to the institutional internationalization process — such as mobility, COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), webinars, mirror classes, online portfolios, and dual-degree programs.

We offer customized programs for academic community development aimed at internationalization, through lectures, workshops, and courses. We promote pedagogical development for faculty, research development for researchers pursuing international projects and publications, training for administrative teams directly or indirectly involved in the institutional internationalization process, and career internationalization guidance for students.

We conduct a diagnostic assessment of the institution’s internationalization process, identifying strengths, opportunities, and potential bottlenecks. We also define performance indicators based on international evaluation tools and the institution’s strategic plan.

QS Stars is a higher education rating system designed to assess institutions across key areas of performance and identify top universities in specific categories such as inclusion, graduate employability, and social responsibility, among others. At IHub, we help institutions identify their strengths and areas for improvement, preparing them to achieve this international accreditation. Earning a QS Stars rating enhances the institution’s reputation and credibility, positioning it more strongly to advance in the prospecting of international partnerships.
